Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats

Our Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats come from some of the highest quality farm-fresh oats in the world. They’re milled from whole grain oats and cut into neat little pieces on a specialized rotary granulator mill. Ready in 7 minutes, our Quick Cooking...
Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats are created much like our regular steel cut oats: they’re just cut into smaller pieces, so they’re ready to eat in 5–7 minutes instead of 15–20. While it’s not instant oatmeal by any measure, our Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats are perfect for busy mornings, and it’s also a wonderful choice for overnight oats.

Our steel cut oatmeal has always been a universal customer favorite at Bob's Red Mill. Their robust oat flavor, texture and ease of preparation, plus the nutritious benefits—including cholesterol reduction and blood sugar regulation—make them the perfect breakfast. So when we learned of the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Championship in Carrbridge, Scotland, we packed up our wooden spurtles and went ready to cook steel cut oats. We’re proud to say we won the coveted Golden Spurtle in 2009 and again in 2016, earning the title of World’s Best Oatmeal®.

Our winning oatmeal recipe is right on the package: cook it on the stovetop with just water and salt. But we won’t mind if you decide to add butter and brown sugar to your oatmeal this morning—or fruit, nuts or even a fried egg! In fact, we have all kinds of ideas at BobsRedMill.com/Oatmeal just for you!

Eating raw oats is generally safe, but may cause digestive issues or increase the risk of foodborne illness.
