Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cups Organic Dark Rye Flour
  • 2-1/2 cups Unbleached White All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Instant Coffee (Crystals)
  • 2 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Whole Caraway Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Onion minced
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds (Whole)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 1-1/3 cups Water at room temperature
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp Barley Malt Syrup or Dark Molasses
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature before starting.



    Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine cycle and process on the whole wheat, sweet or basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions.



    Let loaf cool for 15 minutes before slicing.



    Makes 1-1/2 lb loaf (13 slices).
