5 Ingredient Buckwheat Protein Pancakes

This Buckwheat Protein Pancake Recipe is perfect to fuel your morning workout or your weekend hike. Buckwheat has many health benefits that provide great nutrition for you to start your day. We're keeping it simple with just a few ingredients: our Buckwheat Pancake Mix, Vanilla Protein Powder, melted butter or oil, eggs, milk, and your favorite toppings. Whisk these ingredients together for a super filling and tasty breakfast (or late night snack - we won't tell!)

 

5 Ingredient Buckwheat Protein Pancakes

Recipe developed by Chef Billy Parisi for Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods Ingredients
  • 3 cups of Bobs Red Mill Buckwheat Pancake Mix
  • 3 scoops of Bobs Red Mill Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter or canola oil + 1 tablespoon cold butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • assorted berries and maple syrup toppings
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl mix together the pancake mix, protein powder, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, eggs and milk until completely combined.
  2. Next, place the cold butter in a large frying pan over medium-low heat and once it is melted add about a cup of the pancake batter into the pan.
  3. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden brown on each side and cooked throughout.
  4. Add toppings and serve.
Makes 8 large pancakes
