Paleo Baking Just Got a Whole Lot Easier {Giveaway}
By: Cassidy Stockton | August 5 2016Baking can be tricky when you've chosen to forgo grains and carbohydrates in favor of a paleo-inspired diet. Not only is gluten off the table, but most gluten free recipes use grain-based flours to mimic wheat-based recipes. Paleo diets take it a step further by excluding most sweeteners and all dairy ingredients. The good news is that paleo subscribers can still enjoy the occasional beloved food without derailing their diets.
By combining nut flours and paleo-approved starches (tapioca, arrowroot), paleo bakers can create sweet indulgences, flat breads, pizzas, and more! We noticed that a lot of folks were purchasing our almond and coconut flours for this type of baking, so we put our heads together and developed our new Paleo Baking Mix!
This is one of the most unusual products I've ever seen come out of our test kitchen. Our Paleo Baking Mix creates luscious muffins and cakes, fluffy pancakes, crisp crackers, and chewy flat breads and pizza crusts. It also works fabulously as a breading for proteins. Hello paleo chicken strips!
Of course, I had to try some for myself; I was blown away. My expectations were low, but the muffins I made were extremely good and my family had no problem finishing them off. The only real kicker here is that this is not a one-to-one replacement for wheat flour. Our Paleo Baking Mix works very well in paleo recipes, but because paleo baking can be finicky, we recommend starting with the recipes we developed using this mix before setting off for new frontiers.
This blend of flours has only four ingredients: almond flour, arrowroot starch, coconut flour, and tapioca flour. Simple. Delicious. Paleo-friendly. We hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do.
