Golden Couscous

Golden Couscous is par-cooked, coarsely ground durum wheat. This traditional North African pasta is perfect as a side dish or as a mellow-tasting breakfast cereal.
Our Golden Couscous has a slightly nutty flavor and hearty texture. Couscous is a traditional North African and Middle Eastern dish made from precooked coarsely ground semolina, the rich endosperm extracted from durum wheat, and rolled into tiny pasta balls. Because of their small size, our couscous granules are ready to eat in just 5 minutes! One serving of Golden Couscous has 9 grams of protein, and can be a delicious alternative to traditional pastas and white rice. Enjoy like Moroccan couscous as a bed for stew, meat or vegetables, stir into salads, or use as an entree with your favorite pasta sauce. Our couscous absorbs the flavors of whatever spices or sauce you are using, making it versatile for most dishes you'd use rice or other pastas with. Dress it simply with olive oil, salt and lemon juice, top with chicken or use in your favorite couscous recipe. You can also make a quick and delicious couscous salad: simply use vegetable broth and add feta cheese, fresh herbs and lemon juice. Couscous can also be combined with fruit, almonds, cinnamon and sugar for a simple dessert. Find wonderful recipes for couscous under the recipe section or browse our selection of whole grains.
