Whole Yellow Popcorn

Yellow Popcorn is simply whole grain yellow corn. Pop it on the stovetop, in an air-popper, or in the microwave for an easy, delicious, wholesome snack.
Both our yellow and white popcorn kernels make outstanding popcorn—far better than packaged microwave popcorn, and even better than most movie theater popcorn! If you’re wondering whether white popcorn tastes different than yellow, rest assured it doesn’t matter which popcorn variety you choose: taste-wise, they’re both delicious. When popping these kernels, they burst into wonderfully fluffy blossoms of corn with a delightful crunch. To make homemade popcorn, all you need to do is heat up our popcorn kernels in a pan with a little cooking oil.

Popcorn is one of the best munching foods of all, containing only 100 calories and 4 grams of fiber per serving. What little fat occurs naturally in popcorn is in the form of healthier unsaturated fats. This popping corn contains no saturated or trans fats.

We feel everyone loves good popcorn. Who can watch a movie and not want a bowl of freshly popped yellow or white popcorn? If you air pop it and add no salt, it makes a nutritious, whole grain snack. Or you can use coconut oil and even a little butter if you truly want to indulge in that irresistible buttery flavor!

Bob's Red Mill whole grain unpopped kernels always burst into beautiful, large pieces both in the air popper and in the pan. Season to taste with a variety of toppings like Spanish smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, cayenne powder, chili pepper, curry powder, cumin or grated Parmesan cheese.

You can also use the popped kernels to make popcorn balls, an old-fashioned treat you can dress up with pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, dried fruit or other add-ins.
