Our potato flakes are perfect as a quick mashed potato side dish or snack, especially on busy weeknights when you’re in a pinch and looking for an easy meal.  All you’ll need is water, butter, sea salt, cold milk and our beautiful potato flakes. Boil the water and then add in the butter and salt. Once you remove your pan from the heat, add the cold milk and potato flakes and stir gently. Fluff your homemade mashed potato flakes with a fork and let sit for a few moments to thicken before serving.  After you’ve tried this instant mashed potato recipe, get creative with your potato flakes! Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Water
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 cup cold Milk
  • 1 1/3 cups Potato Flakes

Instructions

Stove-Top Instructions
  1. Heat water to boiling, then add butter and salt.
  2. Remove from heat and add cold milk.
  3. Add potato flakes and stir gently. Fluff with a fork; do not whip.
  4. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken before serving.
Microwave Instructions
  1. Combine water, butter, salt and milk in a large microwave-safe bowl or dish.
  2. Microwave on high until hot, about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from microwave and add potato flakes. Stir gently and fluff with a fork; do not whip.
  4. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken before serving.
