Breakfast Smoothie Bowl + Homemade Granola

Conquering those busy mornings can be made so much easier by just having your breakfast ready to go, and making sure it’s delicious. Kiano Moju's smoothie recipe is berry-forward, protein-packed and slightly elevated with the creaminess of avocado and floral notes from elderflower cordial. Feel free to get creative and add your own twist by swapping out fresh fruits as the seasons change.

Ingredients

Granola
Smoothie
  • 16 oz Strawberries
  • 6 oz Raspberries plus additional to serve
  • 1 large ripe Avocado
  • ⅓ cup Elderflower Cordial
  • ¼ cup Kefir Milk
  • 4 Dates, pitted
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Protein Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add rolled oats, rice puffs, coconut chips, almond slices, hemp seeds and ginger to a mixing bowl, stirring to combine.
  3. Drizzle oil and honey on top, tossing to combine.
  4. Spread granola mixture evenly onto the lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, then stir and bake for another 10 minutes, or until golden brown throughout. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with salt and cool completely before serving.
  5. To make the smoothies, combine strawberries, raspberries, avocado, elderflower cordial, Kefir milk, dates and protein powder in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  6. To serve, pour a portion of the smoothie into a bowl and top with granola and berries.
