Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 3 cups Organic Quick Cooking Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg ground
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1-1/2 cups Brown Sugar packed
  • 1-1/2 cups Unbleached White All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1-1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets, set aside.



    In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs until well blended, then mix in vanilla. Stir together flour, salt, soda, allspice, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add to butter mixture; stir well. Stir in oats, raisins and walnuts until evenly moistened.



    Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing about 2" apart.



    Bake until cookies are golden, but center are still soft (10-12 minutes). If using 1 oven, switch position of pans halfway through cooking. Transfer cookies to racks to cool. Serve, or store airtight up to 3 days.



    Makes 4 dozen cookies.
