This sweet, chocolatey banana bread takes the goodness of our Classic Yellow Cake Mix and amps it up with ripe bananas, espresso and velvety smooth chocolate chunks. Is it for breakfast? Is it a dessert? We say enjoy it whenever you want to share a special moment with someone you love.
Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, sour cream, vanilla extract and espresso powder. Whisk together until a thick batter forms, 1–2 minutes. Add mashed bananas and chocolate chunks and continue to whisk until combined.
Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out of the center of the loaf completely clean.
