Our Classic Yellow Cake Mix starts with good ingredients and is endlessly versatile! This impressive cake is bursting with sweet Cosmic apples and spices and drizzled with a simple and irresistible icing.
Preheat oven to 325°F. Butter or spray a 10-cup Bundt cake pan.
Place cake mix in a large mixing bowl and mix in spices. Add eggs, water or milk, and oil or melted butter and stir until combined. Fold in apples and walnuts.
Pour into prepared cake pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 60 minutes. Let cool then remove from pan and place on a serving platter.
To make the dribbly icing, place brown sugar, butter, milk and salt in a small pot and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Let simmer for about 4 minutes until it begins to thicken. Do not overcook or it will become too hard to cut through.
Remove from heat and let cool until it has stopped bubbling, 2–3 minutes. Pour over the cake, letting it dribble down the sides. Let icing set up for at least 30 minutes, then serve.
