These Homemade Whole Wheat Buttermilk Biscuits are wonderful served warm topped with butter or jam, or turned into breakfast sandwiches with a fried egg and crispy bacon, or scrambled eggs and sharp cheddar cheese… really, the possibilities are endless!

10 ounces
Unsalted Butter
cold, grated using a box grater
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375° F.
In a medium size bowl whisk together the eggs and buttermilk until combined and set aside.
In a separate large size bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and grated butter until combined, and then form a well.
Pour the egg and buttermilk mixture into the center of the well and then mix with a spoon until combined to form a dough.
Transfer the dough to a clean surface and mold it to form a circle that is about 1 ½ to 2 inches thick.
Use a circle cookie cutter to cut out the biscuits and place them on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper. Continue reforming the dough to make additional biscuits until you have 9 total biscuits.
Bake at 375° F for 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned on top and cooked in the center.
