Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Popcorn unpopped, may also use White Popcorn
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp ground Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/8 tsp ground Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

Stove-Top
  1. Place coconut oil in a large pot with a tight-fitting lid. Place over medium-high heat to melt coconut oil.
  2. Once coconut oil has melted, add popcorn kernels. Cover with lid and let heat, shaking periodically. Once popcorn begins to pop, shake frequently. Remove from heat when there are more than 3 seconds between pops.
  3. Meanwhile, combine Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Yeast, salt and spices in a small bowl. When popcorn has been removed from heat, add spice mixture and toss thoroughly before serving.
Air-Popper
  1. Air-Popper Pop popcorn in air-popper following manufacturer’s instructions. Meanwhile, combine Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Yeast and spices as instructed above and melt coconut oil in the microwave or in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Drizzle coconut oil over popped popcorn then add spice mixture and toss thoroughly before serving.
