Ingredients
9 oz
Bittersweet Chocolate pieces
(about 70% cocoa)
Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9 x 9-inch pan with pan spray or butter.
Place chocolate pieces and butter in a medium pot or double boiler over medium-low heat. Heat gently, stirring often, until butter and chocolate are completely melted. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
Add sugar, yogurt and salt to the cooled chocolate mixture and stir until well mixed. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract, then stir in the sourdough starter and baking soda. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and gently fold in until no white streaks remain.
Transfer batter to the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35–40 minutes. Let cool at least 30 minutes before slicing.
