Spelt is a grain used in biblical times. It is a variety of wheat which some wheat sensitive people can tolerate while others cannot. You will be the best judge. (If gluten is your problem, you will want to avoid spelt.)
This is for a 1 lb. loaf using the Welbilt-type of breadmachine.
Place yeast and sugar together in one corner of the baking canister. Add salt and spelt flour.
Pour eggs, oil and vinegar in a measuring cup. Gently fill this cup with warm water(110°-115°)to equal 1 cup + 2 Tb., add to bread canister.
Push start button and use the basic bread setting.
Note I: Clear vinegar is made from grains and should be avoided.
Note II: If you have the kind of breadmaker that requires the liquid be added first, combine and mix all ingredients well, and add the dough to your bread canister.
