These Sweet and Spicy Crispy Chickpeas take garbanzo beans to new heights! A sprinkle of spices and some time in the oven transforms these creamy legumes into a crisp, flavorful, addictive snack. Pair with a cold beer or a citrus-flavored sparkling water and enjoy.

Ingredients
3/4 cup
dried Garbanzo Beans
cooked according to package directions, or 2 cups cooked or canned
2 Tbsp
Olive Oil
1 tsp
Sea Salt
4 Tbsp
Sugar
1 tsp
Cinnamon
1 tsp
Ground Cardamom
1/4 tsp
Chili Powder
Sprinkle of Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Spread the cooked and drained chickpeas out on a clean towel and use your hands to gently roll the skins off the chickpeas.
Transfer the chickpeas to a mixing bowl and drizzle with a bit of olive oil and only the salt. Mix well to combine, then spread in a single layer on baking sheet(s) and bake for a total of 30-40 minutes.
Remove chickpeas from oven, spoon into a large bowl and immediately toss with seasoning mixture. Spread seasoned chickpeas back onto baking trays and return to oven to continue baking for another 10-12 minutes.
Remove chickpeas from oven and allow to cool. Transfer to an airtight container for storage.
