Ingredients

  • 7/8 cup Boiling Water
  • 1 cup TVP® (Textured Vegetable Protein)
  • 12 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp Cane Sugar
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 2 cups Lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 8 Taco Shells
  • 1 Salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the boiling water over the TVP and set aside.
  2. Mix tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic and sugar and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the vegetable protein and cook for another 10 minutes.
  3. Serve in taco shells topped with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and salsa.
